With much satisfaction, FSWC’s education team has wrapped up a busy 2023-2024 school year, reaching more than 60,300 elementary and secondary school students through 1,420 educational programs in 78 school boards across seven provinces. This included virtual presentations, in-class workshops and programming on FSWC's mobile classroom, the Tour for Humanity.
For weeks, an unauthorized anti-Israel encampment on the campus engaged in antisemitic rhetoric, glorified terrorist acts against Israel, and made Jewish students and faculty feel vulnerable and unsafe. The university has now rewarded these hostile activities by agreeing to a long list of demands made by the encampment organizers, the so-called Windsor Liberation Zone Team (WLZT), which will only entrench antisemitism narratives and further marginalize Jewish members of the university community.
