Antisemitic Neo-Nazi Posters Found in Kitchener Under Investigation

Waterloo Regional Police confirmed with Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) that an investigation is underway after photos of antisemitic neo-Nazi posters allegedly found in Kitchener were shared on social media by local residents.

The posters - which promote a website belonging to a movement that claims to have been recently formed "exactly 100 years from the founding of the National Socialist German Workers' Party" - include messages such as "smash white guilt," "love not hate" with the word "love" including a swastika and the word "hate" including a Star of David, and "break debt slavery" with an image of a man breaking a chain that includes a Star of David, alluding to a longstanding antisemitic trope about Jewish control over banking and finance.

Telegram: The Online Weapon of Choice for Violent Far-Right

The Simon Wiesenthal Center’s new 19-page report, Telegram: A Briefing, details the growing use of this social media platform by far-right extremists to promote hate and violence against Jews, Blacks, and law enforcement. SWC researchers, who regularly share information with Department of Justice, Homeland Security and the FBI, have found that far-right channels on Telegram glorify terrorist actors and movements, including murderers of Jews and Muslims at prayer. The report documents how this content leads to incitement and inspires lone wolf violence.

Former Nazi Camp Guard, 95, Charged in Germany

A 95-year-old former guard at the Stutthof concentration camp has been charged with complicity in the murder of several hundred people during the Holocaust. The ability of the accused to stand trial in Germany must now be assessed by experts. Since the landmark 2011 ruling against former Sobibor death camp guard John Demjanjuk, Germany has been racing to put surviving Nazi guards on trial.

Men Suspected of Holocaust Survivor's Murder Will Go on Trial in Paris

Two men have been ordered to stand trial in Paris for the 2018 killing of Mireille Knoll, an 85-year-old Holocaust survivor, in an alleged antisemitic attack. The men are charged with "the murder of a vulnerable person committed because of the true or supposed victim's religion," as well as "aggravated theft" and "degradation by dangerous means to individuals."

Missouri Joins 31 Other States in Passing Anti-BDS Legislation

On Monday, Missouri became the 32nd state to pass anti-BDS legislation when its governor signed into law the Anti-Discrimination Against Israel Act, which prohibits the state and its political subdivisions from signing a contract with companies that boycott Israel or any company, person or entity doing business with or in Israel.
