Today, on the 18th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center joins in remembering and honouring the nearly 3,000 victims who lost their lives that day and countless first responders and citizens who risked their lives and demonstrated great heroism.

“On this tragic day 18 years ago, we were reminded of the threat of terrorism against the democracy, safety and freedom we enjoy in the Western world. We remember the thousands of innocent lives taken that day and the thousands more who were affected by this horrific attack, and today and every day we must all commit to taking action against the hate that leads to this kind of terrorism,” said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo.
