Peter Joshua,Director of Education
Peel District School Board

Tuesday, April 16, 2019

Dear Peter Joshua,

Thank you for your call and for your heartfelt sentiment, which was also evident in your letter of apology.

Your apology and commitment to taking steps to address the recent antisemitic campaign at Stephen Lewis Secondary School – including removing the poster that promoted antisemitic falsehoods, taking down the social media activity associated with the campaign and ensuring an educational opportunity for staff and students – is appreciated and recognized by members of the Jewish community who have been affected by this incident.

We have a long history of collaborative education with your board of education and the Region of Peel in general. We would be happy to offer our resources, including workshops, one-on-one student engagement and our award-winning Tour for Humanity.  Additionally, we can offer literature and our Academy Award-winning films to support your library and programs.

We are here to help and ensure there is no repeat of this antisemitic incident at your school.

Sincerely,

Avi Benlolo
