Palestinian President's Holocaust Remarks Condemned

During a visit to Berlin on Tuesday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of committing "50 Holocausts" in response to a question about the upcoming 50th anniversary of the attack on the Israeli team at the Munich Olympics by Palestinian terrorists. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz later voiced disgust at Abbas's remarks, stating, "...any relativisation of the singularity of the Holocaust is intolerable and unacceptable."

In an online post, FSWC called the remarks a "horrid effort to diminish atrocities faced by Holocaust victims and survivors and spread lies about Israel."

Eight Wounded in Jerusalem Bus Terror Attack

Eight people were wounded in a terror attack in Jerusalem on Sunday, including a pregnant woman who was forced into an emergency delivery. A 26-year-old East Jerusalem resident turned himself in at a police station in the city six hours after the attack.

Anita Neville has been appointed as Manitoba's next lieutenant-governor, becoming the first Jewish person to hold the position after spending more than a decade as a Canadian MP. 95-Year-Old Caledon Holocaust Survivor Writes Memoir

Holocaust survivor Margalith Esterhuizen spent the last 10 years working on her memoir, A Light in the Clouds, recently released in co-ordination with her 95th birthday. During the Holocaust, the Caledon resident was sent on a death march to a ghetto in Transnistria, where she managed to survive until she was liberated in 1944.

Was That Painting Stolen by Nazis? New York Museums Are Now Required to Tell You

A new law now requires museums in New York to prominently place signage that acknowledges if artwork was stolen by Nazis. The law was signed by the state's governor on August 10 as part of a legislative package aimed at honouring and supporting Holocaust survivors.

To Save Jews from the Nazis, These Doctors Invented a Fake Infectious Disease

Syndrome K, a new documentary, tells the story of three doctors at a hospital in Rome who shielded a group of Jews from the Nazis in 1943-1944 by inventing a fake infectious disease called Syndrome K. The prospect of catching the disease kept the Nazis away from the hospital while the Jews there hung on until the Allies liberated the city in June 1944.
