Simon Wiesenthal Center Releases Global Antisemitism 2021 Top Ten List
Simon Wiesenthal Center has released its annual Global Antisemitism Top Ten list, with the Iranian regime topping the list, followed by Hamas-inspired violent attacks against Jews from Germany to the US; the BBC & the UK; Unilever; Jewish Voices for Peace; University of Southern California; Social media giants Twitter, Telegram and TikTok; Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) & Sunrise Movement.
Governor General Announces 135 New Appointments to the Order of Canada
Today, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, announced 135 new appointments to the Order of Canada, including Holocaust survivor and FSWC stalwart Max Eisen for his contributions to Holocaust education and other prominent members of the Jewish community, including Leo Goldhar, Eva Olsson, Robert Eisenberg and Rose Lipszyc. Also honoured was Rabbi Baruch Frydman-Kohl, longtime senior rabbi of Beth Tzedec Congregation who was honoured for his spiritual and community leadership and for fostering interfaith dialogue.

John T. Earnest, who admitted to a shooting at a San Diego area synagogue that killed one and injured three others in 2019, has been sentenced to a second life sentence.
Nazi-Looted Art in France Returned to Heirs of Jewish Owner
Four artworks looted by Nazis in France during World War II have been returned to the heirs of Jewish-Egyptian businessman Moise Levi de Benzion, France’s ministry of culture recently announced. Before the four works were returned last week, 169 pieces of art held by France had been restored to their owners since 1951.
