1. FSWC Condemns 'Al Quds Day' in Toronto
FSWC was present to monitor and photograph Saturday's hateful "Al Quds Day" rally at Queen's Park in Toronto. FSWC reported that young children were used as props to foment hate and antisemitism against Israel and the Jewish community. Further, a Holocaust denier was given a platform to spew his antisemitic and disgraceful views - despite the Jewish community lobbying local politicians to ensure he would be prevented from using government-owned property to propagate hate.
2. Doctors4Wiesenthal Denounces Racist Tirade at Mississauga Clinic
Doctors4Wiesenthal (D4W) condemned the recently reported incident wherein the mother of a patient at a Mississauga clinic unleashed a racist tirade and demanded to be seen by a "white doctor." Referring to the discrimination many Jewish people have faced in the medical field, D4W asserted that intolerance has no place in the practice of medicine.
3. London Mayor Accused of Allowing Hezbollah Terror Flags to Fly at 'Al Quds Day'
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is being accused of "not doing his job" after Hezbollah flags were spotted flying at London's "Al Quds" rally last week. Hezbollah, an Iranian-funded Lebanese terrorist organization, is banned in the United Kingdom, and some members of London's City Council are blaming Khan for the lack of action.
4. Chicago 'Dyke March' Bans Jewish Pride Flags, Asks Jewish Participants to Leave
Simon Wiesenthal Center denounced the banning of Jewish Pride flags during Saturday's LGBTQ Dyke March in Chicago. Three Jewish participants were asked to leave the march after organizers said their flags - featuring the Star of David superimposed over the traditional rainbow pride colors - had "made people feel unsafe." The organizers also claimed that the parade was "anti-Zionist" and "pro-Palestinian."
5. US Supreme Court Partially Reinstates President Trump's 'Muslim' Travel Ban
The US Supreme Court announced earlier today that it has decided to reinstate most of President Donald Trump's so-called travel ban against the citizens of six Muslim-majority nations, until the case can be heard in full by the court later this year. The Supreme Court decision overturns decisions made by lower courts which had placed temporary blocks on the President's executive order, and means that the travel ban can be implemented effective immediately.

Earlier today, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah AliKhamenei reportedlytold officials - who weregathered in Tehran to celebrate Eid al-Fitr - that it is the highest obligationof all Muslims to help the Palestinian people in fighting Israel, anddestroying the Jewish State. In Iraq, militaryannounced that Iraqi troopshave captured Mosul'sal-Faruq neighbourhood - located in the northwestern side of the OldCity - from ISIS. In Gaza, the Palestinian Authority is reportedly denyingresidents medical treatment inIsrael. Physicians for Human Rights Israel stated that some 90 per cent ofPalestinians who requested permits over the last two months have not receivedresponses.
FSWC at Work
Friday marked Tour for Humanity's last stop for the 2016-2017 school year! From Toronto to Windsor to Sault Ste. Marie to Ottawa - the bus visited more than 28 communities and welcomed hundreds of students from grades 6 to 12. The Tour for Humanity bus will be back on the road starting in September, bringing Holocaust and tolerance education to more communities throughout Ontario. FSWC would like to thank all of our supporters who have helped us in our ongoing efforts to provide innovative and effective educational programs to both youth and adults.
