Toronto, ON (December 19, 2025) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal (FSWC) along with other major Jewish community organizations met this morning with the chiefs of Toronto Police Service and Peel Regional Police, as well as senior leadership from RCMP, to address community safety concerns. This followed the announcement of a series of hate-motivated arrests as part of a joint investigation named Project Neapolitan.

In their announcement, police listed 79 charges against three Toronto men for offences related to ISIS-linked terrorist activity, firearms, attempted kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit sexual assault. Police also revealed that the suspects had allegedly targeted women as well as Jewish community members.

FSWC expressed gratitude to police for identifying the individuals involved and acting decisively to disrupt this significant threat. FSWC underscored the importance of ensuring this case is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

"After the antisemitic terror attack in Sydney, it's clear that the status quo in Canada is untenable,” said Michael Levitt, President and CEO of FSWC. "The radicalization that has unfolded in our country, especially over the past two years, has left our society dangerously vulnerable to those who would commit violence against Jews and all Canadians. This is not a moment for words and reflections - it's a moment for leaders to lead through strong actions."
