Today was a very special day for the Tour for Humanity program - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) celebrated the 4th year of the award-winning mobile human rights education centre that travels the province of Ontario, reaching tens of thousands of Ontario elementary and high school students each year - teaching lessons of tolerance, justice and human rights. FSWC's birthday celebration was held during the 463rd stop for the Tour for Humanity at Victoria Park Collegiate Institute in Toronto. Tour for Humanity has impacted 100,000 elementary and high school students with the innovative programming. FSWC teaches about the Holocaust, genocide and human rights issues that have impacted Canada, while empowering youth to raise their voice and speak out against hatred and intolerance.
A very special thank you to all of the generous supporters who have made this incredible learning experience possible. Thank you to the hundreds of educators and law enforcement personnel from across the province who have championed Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Tour for Humanity. Together we ARE changing the world!
