Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) was invited to present the Lessons in Humanity program to Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) members at RCMP Headquarters in Ottawa. Today featured an introduction to FSWC and testimony from Holocaust survivor Max Eisen. Tomorrow, FSWC Director of Education Melissa Mikel will be discussing the Holocaust with a focus on the role of law enforcement.

RCMP members who listened to Max's testimony today were overwhelmed with his experiences as a prisoner of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Questions for Mr. Eisen at the end of his presentation varied from asking specific details about his memories of liberation to how he was able to find faith in humanity after such horrific and hateful experiences.
