Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) congratulates the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) for their launch of the Anne Frank exhibit on loan from Amsterdam's Anne Frank House. FSWC was invited to a the special launch of this exhibit on display in recognition of Jewish Heritage Month. Ontario Minister of Education Mitzie Hunter was on hand to offer remarks at the launch along with TDSB Director of Education John Malloy. It is imperative that we educate youth of today about the history of the Holocaust - this example of the consequences of hatred and intolerance that have shaped our understanding of human rights today, continues to offer lessons that can be related to our world today and that we can actively learn from in order to create more respectful and inclusive communities.
