FSWC Recognizes International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Rwanda Genocide

It was on this day 23 years ago that the 1994 Rwandangenocide began – resulting in the murder of as many as 800,000 people.

“Today is a day to remember what occurred during the 100days of the Rwandan genocide,” says Avi Benlolo, President and CEO of FSWC. “Itis a reminder of what can occur when countries look the other way and fail toact in a time of crisis.”

On Thursday, April 20, FSWC looks forward to commemoratingthe Rwandan genocide. Reflections on Rwanda will feature a presentation byEmery Rutagonya, CEO and Co-Founder of the Rwanda Survivor’s Association.
