In light of his announced resignation, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) thanks outgoing Conservative leader Andrew Scheer for his service in government and for being a friend of the Jewish community.

“Scheer has continuously stood with the Jewish community by denouncing antisemitism and expressing his support for the State of the Israel, and for that we are thankful,” said FSWC president and CEO Avi Benlolo.

FSWC looks forward to maintaining its relationship with the Conservative Party leadership and continuing conversations on how to further fight antisemitism and other forms of racism in the country.
