Toronto (September 8, 2025) – Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) welcomes today’s sentencing of Patrick Gordon MacDonald to 10 years in prison for producing propaganda materials that promoted violent neo-Nazi extremism and incited hatred against Jews.

According to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, MacDonald was found guilty of three terrorism-related offences: enhancing the ability of any terrorist group to facilitate or carry out a terrorist activity; facilitating a terrorist activity; and committing an indictable offence for the benefit of, at the direction of or in association with one or more terrorist groups.

He was found to have created and posted online recruitment videos for Atomwaffen Division, a listed terrorist organization in Canada, along with other violent imagery. His offences included producing and publishing images that willfully promoted hatred against Jewish people.

“This verdict sends a powerful message: such hateful and dangerous ideologies and actions have no place in Canada,” said FSWC President and CEO Michael Levitt. “This case underscores the real and present danger posed by individuals and groups who spread hateful propaganda designed to incite violence. Canada must remain vigilant in confronting these threats. We are grateful to the dedicated law enforcement officers and Crown prosecutors whose unwavering efforts led to this important outcome.”
