No justice for French Jewry - no peace, no future for France

“We mourn the death of justice in France and the overwhelming indifference to the targeting of our grandmothers, parents, brothers, rabbi and children by Islamist thugs and violent anti-Semites. No justice for French Jewry - no peace, no future for France”

— Rabbi Abraham Cooper, SWC Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action

“The memory of Sarah Halimi, Mireille Knoll and other victims of anti-Semitic hatred, lives on. We will examine every possible further legal instance”

— Dr. Shimon Samuels, CSW Director of International Affairs

The Simon Wiesenthal Center stood with tens of thousands of Jews on three continents, in honor of Sarah Halimi’s memory and to demand justice for her brutal death, following the ruling of the highest French court that her killer could not stand trial. Sarah Halimi was beaten to death and thrown out her Paris apartment window in 2017.

PARIS: Richard Odier, Centre Simon Wiesenthal President, joined with 25,000 people in Paris. CSW was one of the main organizations at the protest.

LOS ANGELES: Rabbi Abraham Cooper spoke at the rally in front of the French Consulate in Los Angeles, co-sponsored with BNVCA (National Bureau of Watchfulness Against Antisemitism).
