University of Victoria President Releases Statement Regarding Antisemitic Posters Found on Campus

Toronto (November 3, 2017) - Following FSWC'soutreach to the President of the University of Victoria regarding antisemiticposters found on campus, the president of the university issued a statement ofcondemnation with a pledge to continue "to combat racism andintolerance in all its form" while committing to "investigate and toremain vigilant for any reoccurrence."

"We are pleased that the university is addressing the issue of racism and antisemitism on campus, reminding us of their commitment to ensure the proper policies and procedures are in place to respond to incidents," said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo.

FSWC will continue to monitor antisemitic and hateful incidents taking place on campuses across Canada, and working with students and administration to ensure a respectful and inclusive campus environment.
