York Region Synagogue Vandalized In Brazen Attack

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center(FSWC) has learned that a York Region synagogue, Chabad Flamingo, wasvandalized this morning in broad daylight. The brazen act took place at a time people would be in the facility carrying out their regular daily activities as vehicles drove past along the major roadway.  Security camera footage captures aperson picking up a heavy rock from the ground and throwing it multipletimes at the building’s front doors until the glass panes shattered.

York Regional Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime and are asking anyone with information to reach outimmediately to them at 1-866-876-5423, or to leave an anonymous tip for CrimeStoppers of York Region at: 1-800-222-8477.
